View Full Version : Help!!! Trying to decide whether to order S4 now or wait 6 mos. to order a 2000.5 S4. George 08-02-1999, 01:04 PM ... Todd W 08-02-1999, 01:27 PM . '00 S4 on the way 08-02-1999, 01:30 PM or better. Otherwise, I'd wait for the 2000.5 and put your deposit down now and 'pre-negotiate' the price -- if you can -- before it becomes apparent that the S4 is going to be a really hot (or not) vehicle. I have two deposits on '00 S4's just as insurance. It's my understanding that there will only be minor styling/content differences between the '00 and the 2000.5, so there's really no differentiation between the two vehicles. However, at lot of dealers won't even TAKE deposits on the '00 S4 as they want to wait and see if they can get over MSRP for it (ala the TT). I had both dealers put it in writing that they would not charge me above MSRP. A dealer may be more amenable to taking a deposit on a 2000.5 S4 as demand (and the ability to charge above sticker) will have presumably worn off by early calendar year 2000. 99.5Turbod 08-02-1999, 01:39 PM nt Halifax 08-02-1999, 02:28 PM asdfgf Chris Lloyd 08-02-1999, 02:56 PM I was under the impression that there are a limited quantity of S4's being imported to the US, does anyone know the numbers and if they all sell before mid-year whether there would even be mid-year ones available? Half of me hopes I am the only person on the block with one and the other half worries about getting another one if mine gets totalled :) Chris '97 2.8qm '00 S4 Getting hosed by auto insurance rates 08-02-1999, 03:19 PM My friend just got an M3 and he's paying double what I pay on my A4.
