1) $1000 for the Bose audio system. Is it worth it? The stock stereo sounded like a tin can, although I didn't spend much time to adjust it.

2) I'm SOO disappointed I cannot get those beautiful leather interiors with the A4 1.8T. Any recommendation on which colors look good? I didn't like the model that I drove, I'm going to have to call and see what it was that I was in.

1) IMHO the Bose is worth the money if you don't have the time or inclination to go aftermarket. For serious listening I use my home audio system. I decided Bose after listening to about 30 seconds on the stock system.
2) Make sure you look at the combinations on a real car not just the brochure.
3) I test drove the 1.8T w/Sport seats and even though I ended up w/2.8 QMS non-sport/leather the sport seats felt real nice in the hard corners.

1) IMO, the Bose system would be great for rap because it is BOOMY. I think I could probably make my stock Concert system sound better than that for around $600 though.

2) I really like my leatherette seats, but if you must have leather you can get it aftermarket for about the same price as the factory option for the 2.8.

3) Sport seats are kinda narrow for a larger guy. If you fit snugly though, $400 is a good price for the seats.

4) 2000 models in a couple months I would guess.

I've ordered a '00 A4 1.8TQM with the sport seats and sport steering wheel. I drove a model with them and I really like the adjustable lumbar of the sport seats that you don't get with the stock seats. I also don't think the Bose is much of an improvement over the stock and for the money an aftermarket system (installed) is a great improvement. I've ordered Ebony Pearl/Opal Grey cloth and it is a beautiful combination, now that the steering wheel is coordinated with the rest of the interior. Also, any A4 ordered after June will be a '00 and won't arrive until Sept or Oct.

You can ORDER an Audi? My dealer told me 'no.' I know that you cannot order a VW.

1) $1000 for the Bose audio system=RIP OFF! There's no way it's worth $1K...you can have a much better sounding system for half the price.

2) My buddy CW put aftermarket leather in his 1.8 for $1200. Looks like it came from the factory. As far as colors go, you have to see all the combinations in person. It seems that most people go with Opal gray, which I think is boring (sorry, just my opinion). Personally, I think the Ecru combinations are much more stylish and attractive

3) I thought the sport seats were very uncomfortable...but I'm a rather large man (6'2", 225 lb).

4) If you order a car now, it will be a Y2K.
