Both times it was hot out (90+ degrees), the car was parked in the sun, and I had the sunroof cracked to vent the heat. Hasn't happened since now that winter is here, and it hasn't been enough of a problem for me to worry about it. Pretty strange, though.<p>

This has never happened on my A4, but I had a problem with my old car with a Code Alarm. Sometimes the alarm would go off when the garage door was activated from the remote. I think the signal from the remote set the alarm off. If it isn't your garage door, maybe its a neighbors remote. Just a thought.<p>Howard Kim<br>98 A4 1.8tms(neu)

It operates somewhere in the 300 MHz range, but there is a whole lot of pulse coding included. It is extremely unlikely that the garage door remote would set it off.<p>Kyle
