The dealer says that Audi has "virtually ceased production" of the 2.8 Avant<br>in favor of the 1.8T and A6.<p>Why? Any comments?<br>

Check the archives on this. I recall that Audi's spitting out a ton of 1.8T's now and will convert to 2.8's later in the year.

The first six months' production of '99 Avants are all 1.8T. They'll start '99 2.8 Avants soon,but none have come to US yet.
