When I traded my SVX on the A4, the extended warranty was transferrable to a new owner, had I sold the car instead of traded it. However, it was not transferrable to a dealer. Therefore, I sent it back to Subaru for a refund on the non-used portion of the warranty. I assume it depends on the documentation on the warranty.
