Go make one yourself - no kidding. If you have a local place that carries lots of plastics and resins and molds and whatever do it yourself stuff, you should be able to come up with a personalized kit in a matter or weeks. Well, ok, ok, easier said than done.
Hopefully my personalize body kit will be done before the NorCal monterey historis, and yes, I am building one. Front spoiler at this time made of aluminum sheets, styrofoam, acrylic plastic and fiberglass ( to be laid out this weekend). Why? Because I cannot find anything out there that I like. Maybe I'll adapt a ninja kit from a CRX - NOT. I am looking for something plain and simple - something that blends with the round lines of the A4 - without ridding of my bumper. My ottinger lip just doesn't cut it. All the side skirts out there are just too fancy to keep the clean lines of the A4. TAP plastics can bend polycarbonate plastics for $20 with my specs - and that's what my side skirts will be. Polycarb stuff resist cracking and shattering too when hit by a projectile so it should be more durable than fiberglass kits out there. If only I have a digital camera, I will post. But, my Kodak is almost full, so I will scan some pics soon when developed.
Also installed - my custom grills. To be seen in 2 (or 3?) A4's soon in NorCal. One Silver, and one in a Volcano Black. For the people coming to THILL this August 14th, hopefully my front spoiler is installed, but you'll see my custom grills.
BTW, this is not the first time I made kits. My first one in 1987 received lots of compliments and now my younger bro is driving the car around and after some updating of the kit last year, he still gets compliments and of course, they all want to know where to buy one.
... how about an S4 body kit. Audi has produced the only body kit which IMHO truly keeps the lines of the A4, while making it slightly more aggressive. If you already have a black car, buy the front bumper. Side skirts are similar to stock but slightly deeper.
Anyway, there are hundreds of pictures on this forum - and I remember Anthony at GreedSpeed was talking about stocking the parts,
Antony
98.5 1.8T QMS
Stock body (for the sleeper look!)
A8 17" Five Spokes
Neuspeed 22" Rear Sway Bar
Neuspeed P Chip

I have been thinking about that System S from Avantgarde extensively even though it is made of fiberglass and can (potentially) crack very easily.
I know a friend of mine who has an Alpine White 95 M3 and what he did was what Loreon said. I do realize that the M3 already has a body kit, but what he did looked VERY nice IMO. He painted all the black mouldings white (matching the color of the car) and it looked really good. Along with his 18" AC Schnitzer wheels that thing is a definate looker. I also wonder if anyone has done what Loreon suggested - I wonder what it would look like? Would save a lot of money if it looked good. I do admire the A4's lines but nothing looks as agressive as a nice body kit. What a dilemma.
Marcus Frost
99.5 1.8TQM (End of August)
