What do you think about new 1998 A6 (leftover from last year... with 13 kms on it...) fully loaded for CDN $47,000...
Your 2 cents would be appreciated...
Oggie
97 A4 1.8T

..., I'd opt for a '99 at invoice and benefit from the better resale value and improvements. Some later-'99 A6s have a new stereo (in-dash CD), a change to the Tiptronic to give better low-end torque, and other minor improvements and (hopefully) fixes to things such as the problematic gas gauge.
I don't know invoice price in Canada, but right now Audi is giving incentives to dealers (perhaps $1500 US?), and cars are going out at invoice or below. Besides, year 2000 A6 2.8s should be arriving soon, and pricing on them might not be too bad, particularly at online brokers. Just my suppositions, FWIW.

Or perhaps you are just trying to justify the excessively bad deal you got? Take a pill. ;^)
I'm just telling you what I see going on for new units, so a year-old model doesn't seem appealing to me unless it is below invoice. Audi is making money, don't worry.

Audi wants another crack at their buyers in a couple of years...

Typical BMW/MBZ 3-year residual 65%, Audi 55%-58%
