I have the Sydney RCM126 Cassette Receiver with CDC-A071 changer and it is a perfect match with red illumination of the A4.
The 7-series decks offer competition performance with impressive features. RDS, DISC naming, illumination from green to red and key-card security too name a few.
I have only three complaints with my deck. The changer won't play CD-R's, the deck does not sit flush and the mounting kit the install shop made doesn't exactly match the dash, the decks don't offer DISC list. I'm still working with Blaupunkt on the CD-R problem which is the only problem that concerns me but these decks are awesome.

Nick, thanks for the info. How far out does the deck protrude? Did you use either the Lltek or Scosche Din kits or did the installers ccome up with something custom?
To bad about the recordable CD problem. I have a bunch of those too. But what I really want is a deck that will read CD's with MP3's on them :) I've seen the prototype for the linux based car stereo but that has an internal hard drive (and its got a blue/white led.)
Chris

I was unhappy with the appearance of the stereo protrudng from the dash. I customized a Scosche kit, and now my Toronto sits flush in the dash. Looks MUCH better now. One thing I don't understand about the stereo is why the designers did not maje the face flat, but chiose to give it a "wave" shape, therefore making it impossible for it to be completely flush with the dashboard.
Adam N

I just had the Alpine in-dash cd player from my old car installed in my A4, replacing the factory head unit. The installer (Custom Car Stereo in Houston) was able to take apart the Alpine faceplate and replace the green wrappers on the internal bulbs with red ones. The end result is a very good match with the rest of my dash.
- sean

Adam, I am about to order the Toronto head unit. Can you provide any details on how you customized the Scosche adapter to make it fit better. Is it truly "impossible" to get the unit to fit flush with the dash?
