I've had issues with both Audi and Mercedes service with them. I've only brought my S4 there once. It's a minor issue, them putting on the engine covers the wrong way. Their Mercedes service is what is teh suck right now. Sorry just had to vent.
Oh, and a pic for more views :-p

I've been hating HBL for 7 years, especially since I started taking my 98 A4 to them for service and they found all sorts of ways to be a problem. The only other Audi dealer in N VA, Audi of Alexandria, can't even do state inspections for some reason, nor do their service reps even call you back. Northern VA desperately needs another, preferably decent, Audi dealer. It would be even better if it was in Fairfax, but thats my preference. I'm not buying another new Audi until Audi of America hauls the owner of HBL out and shoots him/her, or at least strips them of their fanchise. I bought an out of warranty S4 just so I didn't have to deal with HBL and then they have the MAF warranty extension, so I had to go back to HBL - and then they didn't even fix it, and took 2 days to even not do that!!!

I've been bringing in my cars to the Audi dealer in Silver Spring and Mercedes Bethesda. Figured what wrong can they do with replacing a power steering hose clamp for a safety recall. Sucks.
BTW 100403_PartyMix.mp3 is nice!

Then why can't they do state inspections or call me back? I've left several messages with service reps down there and they haven't called yet. And whats the deal with the state inspection fiasco? And of course they're twice as far away from me than HBL, which isn't close to begin with. What I'm not sure about is are they the old Heischman dealership moved down the street and renamed? The one time I went down to Heischman for my A4 they didn't screw up, but then I had to go wait at a gas station for an inspection.
Any recommendations on independent shops in the area?
Its a good thing I enjoy car work because getting competent affordable work for an Audi seems to be impossible in N VA, and my S4 needs a lot of work.

independent shops, I'd HIGHLY recommend Induktion Motorsports (now who didn't know I was going to say that). Great bunch of guys, awesome work. Click the link in my sig for their website.

Most of the shops are pushing $100 an hour around here for service that isn't fit for a dog. If Induktion is affordable I might consider them for major work. Anything minor I'll end up doing myself since it would be quicker than getting my car up to Hanover, probably 3 hrs roundtrip for me most days(and again to pick up the car). To be honest I'd just like a competent and ethical Audi dealer somewhere in the west part of Fairfax county. Even a good independent shop would be a help. I'm drowning in repairs here and HBL and Audi of Alexandria have been no help whatsoever.
