My car has a problem when I try to put it in 2nd gear when Ifirst start up on a cold day. It either shifts into N or makes a ugly noise. Any one experience this? I have 500 miles on the car.<br> Thanks Mike <br>Two Week Old 99 1.8T QMS

This is fairly normal. Your transmission fluid is too cold and therefore making shifting difficult. If it is a real problem you may be able to switch to a synthetic or lighter fluid. Otherwise it should be fine once the fluid warms up.<p>Dwayne<br>94 S4
