Several months past, there were postings re installing
non audi phones. I've checked the archives with no luck.
At the time I thought I would just get a Audi phone but now
learn that it is only available as fixed. Jag and BMW
now offer a "Built-in" portable. Would someone post the
the wiring, phone-brand and accessories necessary for power and
and hands-free ability. Analog is fine and a 3 watt
booster is not necessary although an external antennae
would be nice. Thanks
Happy New Year
Some is supposed to be re-writing my installation instructions and posting a FAQ on the Nokia installation. My installation has full integration into factory systems. Keep and eye on the FAQ section for a new FAQ.
The current FAQS on A4.ORG are not very helpful.
Brad Bilut, 98 2.8QA

All you need to do is to purchase the Hands free kit around $120 @ a place like http://www.discountcell.com/cellular/cnokia6120.htm or http://www.batteryoutlet.com/cark91.htm this is where I got mine, and connect a few wires and replace the microphone w/ the one in the kit. Works great. PS I suggest an antenna. Email me if you would like me to write up the wires I attached, if I had thm now I would attach it but I have to look.

My install is full integration. I use the factory MIC, Speaker, & Radio Mute. You don't need to use the Nokia MIC. You can if you want it's easier, but it doesn't look as clean. The radio mute is really awesome. Radio display and trip computer display shows "PHONE" when I'm using the phone, it's cool!
Brad Bilut / Chicago 98.5 2.8QA

Brad, do you have install instructions that you could email to me....I've checked the archives and their seems to be some discrepancies between the use of the mic. Thanks....
Kellys 1.8tq
