Works out to be around $2000 a set for all the parts, balalsts, bulbs, etc. Plus, they would be the DOT spec lights, so you'd be legal.
John
Being "legal" is not worth the extra cash IMO. So many older Audis have used Euro spec OEM halogen headlamps for years without ever having a problem with the law. I doubt you would ever get pulled over for having a Euro spec Xenon, either.
I plan to get the Euro spec OEM Audi Xenons and they are better than the U.S. version. You would be paying A LOT less than $2,000 to have the real and better Euro spec OEM product. Plus, you can order them now rather than waiting. As soon as I have the cash, I'm getting some. ;-)
-C.

At the risk of repeating something that's in the archives: from whom and how much? My experience with directly ordered European parts is that they're *hugely* expensive.
- peter

...and found that I would end up paying roughly $1200 PER UNIT, ie $2400 for the whole Euro set, not including the gyro. This is why I went with the LLtek offer, which was half the price.
If you know of a source that can organize Xenons at the LLtek price, I am sure people will be interested...
- Stan
Vortrag Motorsports now has ability to order European Audi OEM Xenons AND Euro projector lamps that include the leveling motor.
The website has not been updated to have the info on it yet.
Price for OEM Xenon's will be same/less. Just finalizing details, so I think there will be an update on the banner ad as soon as details are complete. In the meantime anyone who is interested could always call or e-mail (sales@vortrag.com) for more info.
-Cathleen

My Xenon's I got from LL Tek have the motors in them too, but the GYRO is what we need to make them work right. Or maybe I'll just use a rotary switch like they used to for the older lights.
Rich

And they're e-code, which means better light distribution onto the road. And the fact that they're for the S4 makes me feel happy too :)
Rich

Quinland-in need of updates!

I understand what you are talking about and that's a very good question. Since I don't have the answer, I'll have to check with our source and post about it when I hear back.
-Cathleen
