Want to get one, but can you swap out the silver trim for the chrome OEM trim? I have a 2000 2.8Q

Here's what I'm talking about(circled in red)

has anyone successfully swapped them?
cutting, the trim with a dremel or something?
maybe I should try it....

or ask them to the trim. get it off junked car, etc.
