Already checked the FAQ and the Search function is not working for the archives. I know it has been posted before. Anyone?
That stuff is mucho dinero...Although, my local dealer had an old litre bottle hanging around which he sold to me really cheap (relative to the little dink bottle it comes in now.)
Thanks,
Kirk
I am away from my home email, so please post if possible.

Oh, I really like the smell, will be especially useful on New Year's if I am pulled over, quick squirt, and then "no officer, that is my car you are shmellling." Just kidding, I would never do that. Actually, I think it is very effective and I am afraid that anything else I use will discolour or stain my silver hood.
Kirk
Kirk, see my post above that I was working on while you were reposting your request. I can let you sniff a free sample if you want. Home weather summary: snow on Xmas eve. followed by freezing rain Xmas, followed by 50 mph Chinook wind (50 degrees) next day and last night. Finally got some use out of the snow tires this year!
A4 content: I'm pretty sure that the Audi advantage warranty will cover unlimited refills of your washer fluid whenever you stop in at the dealer. However, I'm not sure if they all refill with the Audi stuff. (Maybe you've already found out that they don't?)

I did not realize that Audi Advantage covered this! That is great, I've already shelled out about $20 for windshield washer solution. I definitely gave the Michelin Arctic Alpins a workout on the way over Snocrummy (Snoqualmie for those outside of Washington) Pass Christmas Eve day. At one point the pass was closed for Avalanche control but it eventually reopened. I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with these tires and the Quattro. Snow was anywhere from compact to trenching and had 1-2 foot "gatherings" for lack of a better word between lanes and in some of the less travelled lanes. There were several abandoned cars, even in the LEFT lane, can you believe that?! One poor schmuck (I have to pity him, he is soooo stupid) tried to actually cross the pass in his Porsche 924, I believe that he was trying to call Roadside Assistance, I bet they had a good laugh! The snow was so thick coming down at times that I would pull up on a semi before even realizing it, always within safe limits though. Those rear foglights are VERY effective, I saw several intelligent Mercedes drivers activate theirs and I could definitely tell I was coming up on them earlier and that they were probably driving German! At one point, when traffic was stopped, my back window was covered by a good thickness of snow within about 30-90 seconds, I mean COVERED! It was sooooo much fun. Man, my car really dominated. I was especially glad for the traction when the Dodge RAM 350 behind me decided he wanted to gun it from a stop and pull into the next lane, his front pulled out to the right, as he expected, and then his tail slid sideways in MY lane, as he and obviously, by the expression and bracing of his cute female passenger, was NOT expecting. Fortunately, I had about 2 feet of room in front of me and a thick snow bank to my left, so I pulled out of the dork's way with ease, otherwise, I would have had a slightly modified tail on my A4. I think Quattro and the Michelin's gave me the extra few seconds of instantaneous traction that I needed to allow him to just barely clear me. Anyway, I definitely had the speed, and traction advantage throughout the venture (Don't worry, I was always in safe control). The Tiptronic was very handy for straightline speed reduction without brake application. Just to give you an idea, gears ranged from 3-2-1, mostly 2-1 for a fair part of the trip over the pass.
Torrential rains in Seattle the last few days have been pretty fun too!
Kirk

Kirk's Dorky Webpage

The Windshield washer solution that I use is a 50/50 solution of denatured alcohol (found at any hardware store and water with 1/2 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid for a 1 gallon container. GOOD STUFF!
