No one spelled it out for me in the past posts so I thought I'd spell it out for the next guy. I added a CD changer to my 98.5 Avant non bose stereo in 5 minutes. That's the stereo with the volume control in the center. Another gut check is to make sure you have a round(DIN) 13 pin connector in the CD compartment in the rear. I bought a cable converter from Crutchfield, 541AUPAN98, $19.95. A Panasonic CX-DP601EUC 6 disc changer from Speed & Sound, $199.95. This is all you need. The bracket that comes with the Avant is pre-drilled for the player and it literally takes 5 minutes to screw it in and plug it in. Oh yea, sounds and works great so far.
