I just finished installing my Scorpion exhaust and am having problem with the tips... The problems is that it is very close to the bumper.. I only have like 1mm between the bumper and the tips.. Is this normal or should there be a bigger gap? Thanks in advance..
Dmak 1.8TQMS RamAir, Scorpion...
Had similar problem-added spacers(can use washers of right ID) to rear most clamp-this seemed to help-also if you haven't welded the system, put it up on a lift and try readjusting the system-it's not a easy job and it will take some fidling around-I haven't heard of any system that fits perfect! However, after all the "tweaking" I've done to mine it still rattles at times-but-the sound at speed is incredible! JohnJ-98-30v-fwd-5spd..............

I left my tips "high and tight", and there is a little meltage that went on above the ip closest to the car's center.
I considered the tradeoff - I have the sport package too, and lowering the exhaust any more would have caused major "drag" problems. Personally, I'd rather have a little blemish on the bumber (invisible since the tips point up) than a wrecked $800 exhaust system.
