Ok, so I was the first to post on this new forum, but I guess Jason was still "testing" it and decided to delete my silly "Hey, I'm first this time!!" message. :-(
(Sorry Jason, I couldn't resist taking a stab at your feeble attempts to censor my inane contributions). ;-)
But, I did just read an interesting article on PES in this month's VW Power, and English rag dedicated to performance-enhanced VWs. Did y'all know that Garret was the brains behind PES's reprogrammed chip, or was I the last to know?

I learned it when someone who had just installed the PES 30V SCS (SuperChargerSystem - I'm proposing a new acromyn) posted on A4.org about sending out "my ECU to Garret for re-programming".
Oh, and what do you guys think about my acronym. When the 1.8T superchrager comes out, why don't we call it the "PES 20V SCS"? :-)

There's an article posted on pes-tuning.com from Turbo magazine that states Garrett is PES's chip tuner. Here is the quote:
"After trying a number of aftermarket European chips and having only limited success they decided to reporgram the chip themselves. With some help from Garrett Lim, Tony and Mike spent the next several months reprogramming the chip to accommodate the supercharger."
Also on the webpage, it states that the supercharger was supposed to be available early summer 99, well that time is now past and there have been no updates. I don't know about the rest of you, but a supercharger sounds like something I'd seriously consider for the money. What's the deal PES?
Marcus Frost
99.5 1.8TQM (How abuot a 1.8SQM - Supercharged? hmmm...)
