I've got an APR ecu but some times the car feels down on power. The TBB looks fine. What do you guys recommend for a bypass valve. I checked the archives but saw the usual arguing.

View Full Version : Could a bad bypass valve cause random power loss? (more) s4-me 08-01-2001, 12:28 PM I've got an APR ecu but some times the car feels down on power. The TBB looks fine. I find the biggest power hogs differences are hot weather and the AC. LCP 08-01-2001, 12:33 PM ...it would always be down on power. If it was a piston-type valve (like the Forge), it could stick open or closed or maybe not close all of the way. s4-me 08-01-2001, 12:43 PM LCP 08-01-2001, 12:49 PM ...about 2 and a half months of hot weather testing in my S4 in Houston. Audidoctor 08-01-2001, 01:28 PM if it does it all the time and its noticable difference if could be a problem with the MAF sensor longhorn 08-01-2001, 01:36 PM I have a 2001 6speed and I am having all sorts of weird problems. Even when I turn the chip off I can hear a little whisle under WOT. I turned the chip back on after driving with it off for a week and yesterday I had a dragster....It ran better than ever before!!! I haven't had any problems today but they come and go...... I am thinking of having the chip "de-installed" and letting Audi take a whack at it.....thoughts???? |
