The headlight can consist of three main parts: The back black light housing, the reflector and the front clear plastic.
What Valeo assemble the light is that they put all the things (light, adjusters, etc) into the black housing first. (as you look towards the light) They then put the reflector onto the housing and use some C-clips to hold them together. Then they can put the orange insert onto the reflector. And at the end, the way to put the front clear plastic is first insert the corner end of the clear plastic, and then close with the other end. And they're using something to weld them together. After it, a black weather moulding just wrap the top part of the headlight.
So there's only one way if one really want to remove the orange insert (I'm sure that it just stuck in the middle like sandwiches), one will need to remove all the welded material first. This is like some soft plastic glue or something. Then once you open the front cover, take out the orange insert, and last, you'll need to GLUE the front cover back to the black housing.
So I want to know if it is good to remove and glue it back??? If so, what kind of glue should I use to weld them together?? And I think if this method is successful, you'll just need to spend money for the welding glue or something like that and doesn't need to replace the whole headlight unit.
Odie
