Driving my A4 97 1.8TQS on Saturday and the clutch pedal dropped to the floor on changing to 5th gear, coasted to the side of the road and called the Assistance number. Car was flat beded to the local dealer , and they diagnosed the master cylinder had gone. This on a car with 41,000 Km on the clock. They ordered the part on Monday morning and Audi Canada do not have one in stock, they order from Audi USA and it is now Wednesday and they still have not received the part. Today walking into the office I discuss this with a work mate and he had the same problem with his A4, 2 weeks ago, with the approx same mileage, and he was without his A4 for week and a half.
