the problem started a couple days ago, the noise is coming from the front wheels area, the noise is there when I just turn the wheel with and without moving and also when I accelerate a little too. when I get up to 30-45 miles its still there but just at a higher sound, so it's not as noticeable.
Help!!! does anyone know what might be the problem? I am taking it in to the shop on Monday, but it is about 85 miles away.. do you guys think it's save to drive it that far with the problem? I might just make it worst right?
Thanks please reply

Jason,
I got my Bosch Euro lights through Autobahn, the Marilyn package from the Northeast A4 Group (link below). The Bosch units use the stock bulb configuration (H1/H7), plus the city light. There is also a Euro light produced by Valeo, I don't know much about their light, except that it uses H4 bulbs and also has a city light.
The Bosch unit is glass, and the installation is fairly straight forward. In short form, you need an additional wire for your light harness to power the city light. This wire can be obtained from a friendly parts department, mine was at no cost. The city light can be wired according to taste, I wired mine to come on with the parking lights, others have opted to have the city lights come on with no parking lights, a truly European look, I guess, I've never been. If you know how to splice a wire, you can install these lights.
If you have any questions, let me know.
Good luck,
Todd Becker
98.5 2.8QM

Northeast A4 Group Discount Page @ Autobahn

>1) Do they have a glass cover?
Yes
>2) Are they projector beams or reflector beams?
Reflector beams
>3) What bulbs do they run on? H4? H7? H1?
One H4 bulb in each housing (left and right)
>4) I want the city lights...which unit has those?
Valeo unit has city lights (although no bulbs were included). I haven't bothered to wire them up yet. Rich Quinlan also has a set of the Valeo's and he wired his city lights into the parking light circuit without much trouble. Last time I spoke with him, he was changing things slightly so the city lights would turn off when the headlights came on.
>And how does the wiring work with the switches for that?
Here's some text I pulled from an email from Rich:
"I have the city lights hooked into the parking light circuit, which you can tap into via the 3 wires that go to your turn signals.. just find the wire that goes 12v+ when the parking lights are on. I cut this, and soldered it into the stock fog light wire that goes to the headlight. to get the city lights power, you swap the pins inside the connector, from the one small hole to the other small hole, leaving the 3 large wires alone. (you'll see it when you look at the connector. The connector has a purple retainer that slides to the side, after you pull back the rubber boot.. it kind of "hooks" in place.. when you slide the retainer to the side, the pins will easily slide out... then just swap their location. It's MUCH easier than it sounds."
>5) Where did you get them and for how much?
LLTek, they were on sale for approx. $350 which included headlights, clear corner-markers (stock Bosch won't fit) and two no-name H4 bulbs.
>6) How hard was the install??
Install was fairly easy as long as you have some Torx drivers (I used a Torz bit designed for a socket wrench). Three Torx bolts is all that holds the headlights in. Two on the top, and one on the side. The one on the side was a pain to get at and would have been impossible to remove with a Torx screwdriver as the bumper is in the way.
Andy Hedin
'97 A4 1.8Tqms, Wett 1.0 Bar Chip, ABT Filter, Euro Headlights with
PIAA SuperWhite's, A!AvantGarde Grill, Smoked Side-Markers,
Clear Corner-Markers, Tint

$569.95.
That includes:
Bosch Euro Headlights
Bosch Clear Corners
In.Pro Side Markers (smoked or clear)
Sunny included the bulbs for the city lights with my order, however, that might be because the distributor forgot to send me the corners with the initial shipment.
