My 320is beater car died again over the weekend. I was hoping it would last until the S4 arrived.

So yet more money into the beater to get it running again, and the wait continues. I get the feeling we are close though. I mean how long can it take for a car to get from Houston to Santa Barbara?

I need to find a dealer in the Bay Area to get service done at. Any reccomendations? I am in Sunnyvale, and work in Mountain view. The only dealer I know off is Carlson, and supposedly, they suck.

Hector Contreras & Dan Spignola " treat you with kid gloves" and take care of everything, including a thorough wash/ detail with every service. They schedule appts every 15 min and stick to it- or you can leave the car with "early bird" service (before 7 am) if you have a nasty commute back to Mtn View in the a.m. They work w/ Enterprise Rentals, just down the street, to provide loaners for "almost all" work done on the car, OR give you shuttle rides back & forth (in their monster Suburban w/ Honda-eating grilles on the front). They keep the history on your car "current" and review it each time you come in so there is a more complete diagnosis for those tricky niggly problems.

I had a recurring problem with my car, they've fixed it completely and had rental cars DELIVERED to me. They even called again this morning to make sure everything was OK and keep me posted weekly on a long- backordered part....

650-348-0111. Tell them you were referred by A4'ers on the board here (me) , they like to know how people were referred...

One last redeeming quality- they're "chip friendly", just don't shout it too loud if you are chipped....

I was introduced to Hector after leasing my A6 recently at Rector. I'm glad to hear my initial favorable impression appears to be backed up by solid service.
