Anyone else have a front wheel bearing fail? About 25K miles on a 1.8T -- warranty covers it, but it takes four hours to replace ?!?!

Passenger front -- rotation dependent noise at that corner esp. noticed on left curves / corners (i.e., when that side was loaded).

Sounds about right. Hey, just make sure they fix the correct one. I told my dealership which one was bad and they fixed the wrong one. I picked up the car and drove off, heard that nasty howling STILL and had to turn right around to go back. I was pretty mad. It was not convenient to be without thecar again. They didn't even bother to a) either test drive it to make sure they fixed it right or b) own up to the fact they goofed.
Good luck!
-C.
Had left front wheel bearing fail at about 20k. Took the dealership 5.....yes, 5 times to diagnose and fix the problem. And I think they only got it right on 5 because the independent shop, where I get my aftermarket work done, called and asked the dealership if they had the replacement parts to fix this problem and my car showed up soon thereafter with this problem. 2 plus 2 equals..... And, they did replaced it under warranty.
Rob 97 1.8tqm w/ Wett, K03 Sport, blah, blah blah
