You need to excuse some of these pin heads that miss the obvious on this page.<p>I wish Lexus still made a five speed. If they did I surely would not be stuck with my 98.5 A4 2.8 QMS, leather, Bose, Trip, Moon, ect.<p>Audi still has a long way to be capable of providing the level of service of most other lux car manufactures, and is only second to may be GM in customer service...that is, A of A is horrible in resolvong issues and more importantly they are dishonest.<p>R-

That's the beauty of the new IS, scheduled to be here next year. It'll have a 5 speed manual, REAR WHEEL DRIVE (you gotta love that), six cylinder engine, and most of all LEXUS RELIABILITY AND SERVICE!!!!

Are you sure about the 5-speed. The article I read in the latest Car & Driver made it sound like the stick was only available with the 4-banger, which won't be coming to the US.

Sorry to hear of your problems.<p>My Audi service has been great in my area. In the last 6 or 7 years, I have owned Infinity, Acura, BMW, and Porsche. The Infinity was the second least reliable but had the best service. The Acura was the absolute worst service. The SLX was most unreliable vehicle I have ever owned the RL was very dependable. I have had reliable and unreliable Bimmers with good service in Atlanta and average service in Memphis. Porsche 911s RULE and they, candidly, kiss my ass when and if I have a problem.<p>The point is, service departments and cars vary. Your car has problems and your experience has been less than satisfying. I do not believe your comment to be an accurate reflection of the Audi product as a whole or Audi service departments in general.<p>It is annoying to see people get so defensive on this board whenever someone complains or has a negative comment about Audi. You, however, are the bigger pin head for making such generalizations and for keeping a car that you do not like.

Looks pretty nice, kinda like a baby GS400 (lights on trunk). From the pics I saw in C&D, I didn't really care for the interior styling, although the sport wheel and shift knob looked nice. Always nice to have choices :-) Although I like the security of Quattro, especially in the winter.<p>Andy Hedin

The car looks european. Unlike the G20 and the Acura TL which look like characterless, Cookie Cutter sedans. I Like The IS but it's only rear wheel drive. I choose not to buy a BMW based on that reason the lexus isn't any different. It rains often where I live. The Quattros traction enables me to accelerate in the rain as if it were dry. All I do is floor it. The car then grabs and goes. I body gets pushed back in the seat as if it were accelerating in the dry. Try that with traction control. <p> The interior didn't exite me either. I guess I'll have to see it in person to make a final analysis.<br>It's a turn in the right direction. Now if Nissan and Acura can follow Lexus they would be okay. <br>Good Job Lexus!!!!<br> <p>

Nice look from the sides, and the rear is similar in design to the A4, but the front leaves much to be desired.
