Got a set of clear side markers from VW Sport and they look great. My car is Cactus Green and I never liked the look of the orange side markers. Now, together with my Euro headlights and clear corners, I have a nice, clean look. I would love to get clear taillights too, but it I remember right they are about $400. Ouch.
Anyway, this is a highly recommended cosmetic upgrade. Obviously it looks better because the brand new A4's have them straight from the factory :-)
Jason
I never really liked the design of the 99.5+ sidemarkers, the long type sidemarkers fit the a6, but just don't "look right" on the a4. i have always liked my clear smaller side markers. =]
98.5 2.8Q [a!/lltek/axis/nitto]

There is such a thing as clear tailights (not just the non-orange ones). Check it out.
Jason

JET,
don't get those childish rear lights, its bad enough you have been con'd into spending money on front lights. If you do get the clear rears, you will be forced to put large stickers, in the other axis power language, German, that will probably say something clever when translated like, "Watch my weiner car blow smoke and sauerkraut all over your yankee doodle noodle motorcar!" in bright yellow italicized font! hehe...
When I see cars with clear lights, I think, "Hmm... No matter how unhappy that chap is with his car, no $100 mod will cure his ailments... I wonder how long those cheesy mods will keep him amused till he realizes he bought the wrong car?" I don't know why I use the word "chap" being from Texas and all, but I guess it makes me feel more snotty and brit like! haha...
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, "not changing those rear lights" would be it. [Baz Luhrman style]
RocketJohn
just another A4.org poster that has spent years on this forum without actually owning an A4... hey! but I did finally put money down last week on a yellow one!
