I am on the market for an A4 1.8TQMS or 2.8QMS. The dealer informed me that services are every 15,000 miles. How expensive are services typically, and how often to people have them done?<p>

I thinking of out of schedule services if needed. I am thinking of after I have run out of warranty.

In warranty 1.8 service is every 5k miles and 2.8 is every 7.5k miles (sometimes is just an oil change). The warranty is 3 yrs or 50k, whichever first. After that I would imagine that service costs vary. I'd check with the dealer where you would get service on cost after warranty period.<p>Nadeem<br>1.8TQM

I highly recommend you take a peek at those archives...a wealth of information is found within them.<p>Regarding the maintenance....if the car has 3 yr unlimited warranty on parts and labor...why do you ask? If it is for those things after the 3yrs has expired...the labor cost will be determined by your location within the US and what the market will bear...$65/hour...$75...$80? Regarding parts...Audi is about in line with VW for most items...most of us order parts at significant discount from Mark or Barry @ Clair Audi in Boston MA or from Linda @ Carlsen Porsche Audi in Palo Alto CA.<p>Steve S.<br>97 2.8QM<p>
