98 1.8TM FWD. Had service done at Audi North Atlanta. <p>1) I had the recent TSB for the noise level of the rear view mirror applied. I brought in a copy of the TSB and asked them to check it out. I told them I had no idea whether my noise level was normal or not. I bet they didn't even bother to test the noise level. I wouldn't if I was them. I bet they just applied the fix. What do they care? It's a $51 service BTW covered under warranty. I don't notice much difference if any, however. So maybe my car did not suffer from the 1999 problem. Or my ears are shot.<p>2) Got the usual high quality pleasantries from the staff, Becky and Marvin.<p>3) Got an A6 loaner with cloth seats (!!!). Never seen one of those. Very smooth cruiser, though slow off the line. Not like the A4M at all. Nice radio face plate cover on the A6 BTW.<p>4) They put 20/50 oil in. Don't know what brand, but that's cool. I meant to ask them about synthetic.<p>5) I'm surprised new plugs are installed at only 30K.<p>6) Told Becky my only major complaint was paint chips on the hood. She said paint is getting worse these days overall because of EPA regulation over mixtures. She didn't go into specifics. Audi of North Atlanta is combined with an Infiniti dealer in Roswell, and she said the Infinitis are much worse.<p>7) They gave a lug nut cap remover for free, which was missing from my car as I bought it pre-owned a few months ago. Nice touch. <p>I like these people. It sure is nice not having to pay for service. I guess I should start a bank account and put $500 into it each time I take the car in for warranty service, so that it will have grown to $5K or so by the time my car hits 50K miles....<p><p>
