Hi All,<p>I just got back from visiting family in Dubai (U.A.E). For those of you who have not heard of Dubai, it is a small oil rich country in the middle east close to Saudi where most people there are non natives ( India, Europe, America, Russia, etc). You tend to see a lot of interesting cars there. I know some folks there who have a lambo diablo, Ferrari Spyder, Viper, M Coupe and a Bentley all in one family. Anyway I digress, The Audi's there come in a 1.8 FWD and a 2.4 FWD. I was just curious as to if anyone else had seen this engine format elsewhere.<br>The body was the same for the most part. Only minor differences Bubble logo on the side for the 99's etc.<p>-Asim

We have 1.8, 1.8T, 2.4, 2.6 and 2.8 in the A4 range. The 2.6 has been superceded with the 2.4 (or is it the other way around). What we didn't have until recently was the A4 Quattro.<p>Feizel<br>

When I went back to HK last summer, they are available with the cute little A3 1.8 and 2.4 version of the A4. The 2.4 comes without sports package and Quattro system, but all the Audis (except A3) are standard with sports steering wheel and leather sports seats. On the A4 line-up, only the 1.8T stick and 2.8 are available with Quattro. The 1.8T Tiptronic only available with FrontTrek. A3 only available with standard steering wheel and 125 hp 1.8 normally aspirated engine. On the A6 side, they get 2.4, 2.8 FrontTrek and 2.8 Quattro with sports package. They even get the classic Audi cabriolet. Although HK is a small place, but they get a lot more engine and model choices than here in Canada. The same can be say with Volkswagen where they can get a VR5, 1.8T and 24V VR6 GTI. Their GTI can comes with five door version either.<br>Tom<br>97 A4 1.8TQM<br>99 Jetta GLS 2.0
