I have a option to purchase 1 of only 2 1.8Ts, because I was seeking Laser Red. One comes with a black cloth, sports package, sports seats, and Bose system for $26,600.. the other with all weather package ,heated leatherette seats for $25,500.
I like the sports package as well as the heated seats. Most contributors agreeeeee! But I cant get both....Is the Bose worth the extra $1,200? Seems a bit high. I'll probably go for it, because of the sports package. I like loud music anyway. what about the price difference? Is it worth it or can I do better?

I'd go with the sport package one. Since it has cloth seats, the heated seats are not as important. Vinyl seats feel MUCH colder than cloth seats. Good luck.
Tom
1.8TQMS SIlver/Ecru

If I had only two options to choose in an A4, they would be quattro and sport package, in that order. I say get the car with the sport package, period.
re the Bose, there have been complaints about it, but my Bose stereo is by far the best system I have ever heard in a moving vehicle. It's not as nice as my Yamaha/Klipsch home system, but it is well balanced, good response through the range, and has good base. I think it's worth getting, but if you can negotiate at the invoice cost, $1050 I think, it's not as painful handing over the cash.
Get the Sports package/seats - it'll be a lot more fun!
Darryl
98.5 1.8T qmsb
You can get Dealer Invoice information off the A4.org home page. Add 5% to the total and you have a good deal for yourself, and one which a fair dealer will accept.
You don't mention whether either car has Quattro. Most of us here would recommend it.
As for the Bose, if you a serious audiophile, you'll be disappointed. But that's a personal choice.
My advice is to get exactly the car you want - you're going to be driving it for years.

If you are planning to go with a higher end aftermarket suspension, then save yourself the money. Not to say anything negative about the factory sport suspension, it's just common sense to no pay for something that you'll eventually rip out. Of course, you may be able to sell it. I did just that, bought an A4 without the sport suspension and upgraded to an aftermarket setup which is nothing short of amazing.
Re Bose: Depends on what type of music you listen to and at what volume levels. The Bose system is not really intended to be one of those "crank it up and blast your neighbor" type sound systems. As with the factory sport suspension, if you plan on modifying the stereo system, stay away from the Bose because it is quite difficult to alter without negatively affecting the sound quality. Once again, I chose the Concert system and upgraded it -- MB Quarts in the front, Boston Acoustics in the rear, JL Audio 10" subs, Kenwood EQ, and two amps (Eclipse for the subs, Eclipse 4-way for the front and rear speakers). Needless to say, it was more expensive than the factory Bose system, but entirely different systems altogether -- meant for differing applications.
Good luck. I hope this helps as I had been down the same road with the same questions before making my purchase.
