It looks like I'm going to sell my Infiniti J30 next week. Which means I am ready to end the wait and order a '00 silver 1.8T manual, sport pkg, sport seats, bose, sunroof, xenon, onyx cloth interior, anything more?
I've been focused on this site for months planning and drueling. I heard about people going to online websites and getting the A4 for invoice. Even if this isn't available anymore, can someone recommend a good site? I know about auto-by-tel, but I'm interested in others.
Also, are there other financial institutions to go through for leasing other than Audi?
Lastly, can anyone find anything wrong with the Bose system? I had one in my Maxima and it worked fine, although I don't like Bose home stuff too much. Can I make a better system for the $$$ aftermarket?
I'm really getting the itch but I've got to take the time and make sure I don't screw this up!
Thanks all,
Mark Collett

The Maxima's Bose system is superior to the A4's. You might want to take a listen before you order.

I believe they still have their invoice pricing deal (you pay dealer invoice price), but their service is only in California at the moment. Their web site is not really confidence inspiring as their invoice prices are not up to date (pre-Jan. 1999 prices still showing), but I would definitely give them a shot.
Then there is carsdirect.com, but their invoice pricing deal has been over for a couple of months now. Their discount is only about $1200 off sticker price.

As for the stereo, listen to both. I really don't think the Bose is worth the money. You could do much better after market for the money, but you would be giving up the stock look. It depends what you want from it. As for leasing, yes other institutions offer leases too. Check around, I don't think it's real common, but I know Navy Federal Credit Union does so there must be others too.
Regards,
Rodney
'99 A4 1.8tqms

I have a quote from Autobytel for $500 over invoice but the affiliated dealer in Massillon, OH say they don't have the specs for 2000 and so can't yet order the alleged xenon, etc. new options and counseled waiting til dealership gets definite info.
I, too, was in the same boat...looked around at internet buying services and such. My best deal came directly from the dealership. I live in Texas and called every dealership in the state and decided to order from Rod East VW/Audi in San Antonio. Basically asked if they could do x% over invoice and they agreed. Very professional with a win/win buying experience. Carsdirect.com has horribly pricing and are extremely slow to work with. Good luck
JR
'00 1.8Tqms xenon (on-order)
