At Audi's press conference this morning we learned that Audi has not finalized plans for price increases for the '99.5 model A4. What this really means is that they have not announced the '99.5 pricing yet. It is possible that there will be <b>no</b> price increase. One thing that was stressed was that Audi continues to provide more value without raising their prices. They talked about the fact that they had "held the line" on pricing for '99 even though the '99 A4 has many new features. It's difficult to draw conclusions, we'll have to wait and see.<p>Jason

...I would bet that we'll see an upward bump. If anyone's considering ordering a 99.5, you've got nothing to lose by locking in your order at today's price.<br>The fact that they held the 99.0s @ '98 $$$s is a major reason why I'm leaning toward a price increase. JMHO

According to dealer, just received letter from Aof A, and 99.5 1.8 manual Avant going from base of 23462 to 23710. There are other increases too.

If that information is solid then it probably makes sense. That increase doesn't seem too out of control though.<p>Jason
