Hey guys. I have a 96 A4 2.8QM, Europa Blue Mica (I guess that is close to the new Santorin Blue), and over the past few years, the pain on the hood has chipped really easily, and smashed bugs have eaten through the paint also (even though I cleaned the front end after every long trip, I guess I wasn't fast enough) So, I asked the local dealer if there was any solution for this problem. He said it wasn't covered under warranty because it was due to environmental factors. Of course, every other car that we have had in the family does not have a paint job that is this fragile. Has anyone successfully gotten their hood painted due to a pathetic excuse of an original paint job?
