I just installed the Autotoys CD player in my 99.5 A4. Yes it is the Panasonic 601. But it fit and worked perfectly. You need to take the side wall liner out. Pull hard, it is held in by clips at top and bottom. It isn't easy but when you get it out the bracket comes out easily and the CD player goes in nicely with all 4 screws. I am very unhappy with Autotoys though. They are impossible to contact by e-mail or phone. I couldn't even get a confirmation that they had accepted my order. I would never ever order another thing from that company! No instructions and the order I placed was incomplete but the packing slip shows no back order. Thank goodness the CD player worked because I'd have a tough time getting any support from Autotoys. My advice: spend the extra money and buy from Clair or Crutchfield.

I had no problems with autotoy, they e-mailed my confirmation # within 24 hours.
