Since I need some traction in snow (NY) I want to have an all season performance tire that can handle snow well. From what I've seen in Consumer Reports and Tire Rack testing ... I narrowed it down to these two. I'm just waiting for any ideas / comments.<p>thanks

The P7000SS is the best all around tire that I've ever owned...... but they stink in the snow. Depending on the size of tire you will be running, I would suggest the BF Goodrich Comp T/A VR-4's. I had them on my Subaru SVX and next to the P7000SS in the summer, they are great handling tires for All-Season and have a 340AA treadwear rating as well. They were much better in the snow than the P7000SS. Of course the drivetrain difference between the Sub and the Audi may also play a big part in that difference. I would suggest the P7000SS in the non-snow months and some snow tires for the winter.
