Another interesting debut here at NAIAS today -- the 1.8T New Beetle. Exact same engine as the A4 1.8T, right? The New Beetle is "only" 148hp! The official press release, however, touts 150 horsepower...<p>The engine appears to be skillfully shoe-horned into the available space. You cannot see the turbo.<p>Jason & Neil

Sorry Guys...I think you're too late. With a rear wing and 290hp. The Beetle kills A-4's on the Autobahn. Ask anyone from MTM or Les Bidrwan at European Car. Even with a 148 hp it's still quicker than your a4 with 150. Why? Weight. And you probably have Quattro too! But remember, VAG, Vw and Audi...were one big happy family sharing components to have highest quality and performance in all of our cars!
