<br>I have a '97 1.8T with 5 speed auto. The button in the shift lever handle sticks inside the handle during warm weather. This is dangerous due to the fact that by bumping the handle you could push the car through the entire gear range, even reverse while driving. If I bang on the lever I can get the button to pop out to the proper position.<p>The dealer has changed the handle and button-NG, then the entire shifter, handle and button-still NG. I am bringing my car in for 15,000 mile service, and wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem before I speak to the dealer.<p>Any help would be appreciated.<p>Mike M<p>
