Now a 180hp version of the Audi A4 1.8T is available. The extra power, like the 180hp TT Coupe, comes from just a remapped engine management program and twin exhaust. To enhance sportier handling, ride height is lowered by 30mm while 17 inches 225/45ZR17 tyres are used. Expect 145mph, 0-62mph : 7.6sec. Meanwhile, Audi is also developing an S6 with a 360hp version of the 3.7 liters 40 valves V8 added with twin KKK turbos. A prototype without disguised was scooped in Italy’s Nardo test track undergoing high speed testing. From the spy photo it seems to be based on the same chassis as the newly launched A6 4.2, especially the design of nose, bumper and wheel arches are the same. Unlike the A6 4.2, it has a six-speed manual coupling to the quattro 4wd.

There is only a single exhaust on the TT, and the changes are supposed to be more than JUST the computer. I have the specs at home. But, there is a difference between the 1.8t in the A4 and the one in the TT. This is according to an AoA Powerpoint demonstration sent to all dealers. Of course, this is in the US. No idea where you are or where these spec are from.<p>Jon<br>'96 A4qs

It doesn't make sense to have a dual exhaust on a single turbo car (unless there is a cutout). A single large diameter pipe flows better than two smaller pipes anyways.
