I finally ordered a silver 1999.5 2.8 Quattro with the Ecru leather interior last week. My concern is that my salesman failed to tell me that the "aluminum silver" is now being replaced with the "light silver". A previous post mentioned that the blue tint, withing the "aluminum silver", has been removed and that the new colour is similar to the VW silver. I may be in the minority but I liked the blue tint within the older colur. Could someone confirm that the new colour is in fact different from the older one and what in fact it looks like. <p>Furthermore, the new dash in the 1999.5 seems to be missing a large section of wood trim (The area around the radio & climate control). I assume that the European radio will not be offered and this would aggravate the problem even more! Do you think that Audi will add a piece of veneer to this area or will I have to live with this. If they do nothing I think that I would rather have the 1999.5 1.8 TQ. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
