I have a 96 A4 with the stock Non-Bose stereo. I want to add a CD changer but do not want to spend $500 on a "dealer special" Does anyone know where I can get one? From a wrecked Audi or something? Or an aftermarket that will work with the head unit.

I got my 6 Disc CD Changer aftermarker from www.autotoys.com. I got it for under $250 including tax & shipping, and it was a piece of cake to install with my Concert radio (mine was pre-wired - not sure how the '96s are)
98.5 TAPPED 1.8T

What brand of changer was this? $250 seems like a really good deal. Was the install easy? Just to reiterate, you are able to used your stock Audi head unit? (Concert Sound)
I would appreceiate learning more about the unit you bought.
Vince

The CD Changer it very easy to install. It is an aftermarket Panasonic 6 disc changer that functions through the Concert stereo head (all the functions work through the stock unit except random play).
As fo the install, check the archives. I posted a rather lenghty message explaining the process. If you can't find it or have any other questions, such as how/where I mounted the unit, feel free to e-mail me. The entire install took less than 45 minutes and the unit plugs right into the factory wiring. As I already said, the total price including tax & shipping was less than $250! Definitely more than worth it, the unit sounds great!
Larry
98.5 TAPPED 1.8T

panasonic is only good for 'concert' type radios... 98.5 and later i think?
Assuming you have the Audi Delta stereo, you can cal Dave at Sport Wheels 970 945 2708. He was selling them for 350.
