Just purchased a pair of Euro lights (including corner lamps) for my wife's A4. Getting ready to install and wondered if there was anything tricky regarding the install. Have worked on cars for many years but never any Audi's! If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. I also realize there are many different ideas regarding replacement of the OEM lights.. but short of candles.. nothing could be worse than the factory lights! I couldn't believe how BAD they were the first time I drove her car.... I think the could be a bit better on a 30K German car!!!!
Thanks Craig

Craig,
I installed the Valeo E-code headlights & corner-markers a few weeks ago. The install went smoothly although I would recommend checking the lights carefully as one of the adjustment screws was not attached properly. If I hadn't noticed it, the light would have "bobbed" around when I drove over dips/bumps. Fortunately, the lights are easy to take apart and I had the problem corrected in 10 minutes.
Aiming the lights is fairly straitforward but I would recommend referring to the FAQ on aiming E-code headlights found on the Stern Lighting web site. I've included a link below.
My lights, purchased from LLTek, came with H4 bulbs but I've subsequently purchased the PIAA SuperWhite bulbs and I am very pleased with them.
Any questions, feel free to ask.
Andy Hedin
'97 A4 1.8Tqms, Wett 1.0 Bar Chip, ABT Filter, Euro Headlights with
PIAA SuperWhite's, A!AvantGarde Grill, Smoked Side-Markers,
Clear Corner-Markers, Tint
Mailto:andy.hedin@reedtech.com

Stern Lighting European Headlight Aiming FAQ
