This has always been VERY frustrating, and the best solution I have so far is just taking the nozzle off of the hose and running a stream of water over the car. Then I follow it up with an artificial chamois and chase it with a terrycloth towel. I saw this thing on TV today though. California Blade Wiper??? The commercial said it was made by the company that manufactures the California Car Duster. This wiper is a silicone squeegie type thing that they claim has 15 times less friction than a terrycloth towel and is guaranteed to not scratch the paint on the car. Anyone try this yet? Does it work?<p>Mike

I bought something similar several years ago and used it on my old 4000Q. I have not tried it on my A4 but may one of these days. To be honest, I'm not convinced it gets the water off any better than the old standards. If you have access to a soft water final rinse either by hose or bucket that should help.
