I like about my current 871/2 Coupe GT, is that it is distinctive. I guess S4? is referring to the 2.7 S4 engine that is coming this fall (along with the V8). The S6 is still an active rumor for 2000.

I'll keep it, put #'s on the side and race it.<p>The 87 1/2 has the 130 hp vs. 115 hp 5000 engine. Also, it came with 4 wheel disks, a different gear box, and only availbe in Red, black and white. Look for the wing and plastic on the red and white cars, they are not color coded on straight 87's.

When I bought my A4 in October of '97, no one carried Audi Sport badges at all. While I was at Hoppen Motorsports getting my ECU done, I saw some badges that i saw to be S4 badges.<p>They are Audi Sport, with the 'S4' engraved into the silver. You can't even SEE the S4 on it unless you are 3 feet or closer, and looking closely.<p>I put mine above the quattro badge on the trunk, and on the grille. Yes, the trunk one is on the wrong side. I'm not TRYING to imitate an S4. I merely wanted to wear the Audi Sport badge, and at the time, they were the only way to do it.<p>I like how they look on the car, and have no plans to remove them. I'd say that since the 'S4' is almost invisible compared to the BRIGHTLY colored SiR stickers and so forth on Hondas.<p>Just a not-so-quick explanation..
