Does anyone know what issues or problems that might arise when I try to bring my car into the US? What changes, if any will be required, for example MPH versus KPH? Is there an easy way to change the speedometer over to Miles from Kilometers, even if I'm not required by US law to make the change? What about the Odometer, can it somehow be changed to read total Miles driven from the current total Kilometers driven? Are there any other differences between a US spec. model versus Canadian, other than the KPH vs. MPH matter?

I moved from US to Canada. As far as I know there is no easy way to convert everything from KPH to MPH. Same goes for KM/Miles on the odometer. You just have to live with it :-( You can switch your temperature into F though (read the FAQ).
Differences: all Canadian cars come with daytime running lights and the all-weather package. There are not differences is bumpers or exhuast or something that would be expensive to fix. My suggestion is to just live with the the small differences and not make a big deal about it. Of course you know that you have marginal resale value for a Canadian car in the U.S., right?
Jason

I'm not sure what you mean by 'marginal resale' in the US. Cculd you please explain? Also, couldn't I purchase a new speedometer/odemeter in MPH & replace my KPH unit? Do you know if this has ever been done? Thanks!

I too am a transplant - no regrets. In certain states (like california) emission standards are higher than in some other states. If your car is not smog legal you may have to foot the bill to bring it up to the states standards. Each state is a little different but a cal emission standard is good in the rest of the states but a car say bought in new mexico might have to have work done on it to bring it up to cal standards for someone moving out here. Check with the DMV for the state your moving to, to get the scoop.
