Either it's the M3 style mirrors, or it's a fullsize clip-on onto the glass, which means they are not heated.
I got the real euro glass from back home (for myself and some friends) and we all love it. The angle is much better. Note that there is only the left mirror which has this aspherical feature (well, maybe the right one in the UK) and unless you have a 99/99.5 with a big right glass, you can upgrade only the left one.
The street price for the left glass would be about US$80 (in Switzerland).
You can find a pic of the wacky euro mirror on my Audi page.
- Stan

Stan's Audi Page

Amro 05-25-1999, 02:59 PM Stan,
Awesome picture of your car on the main page. I've take pictures of my Santorin Blue and it almost looks retarted. Got any hints or suggestion? I really want to get a nice picture with my TSW Trophy wheels to turn in. All mine on my web pages SUCK!!.
Amro stanj 05-25-1999, 03:48 PM It is difficult to show the color nicely... I had major nightmares when I was supposed to shoot the difference between Santorin and Europa. My advice:
1) Bright light, but not at noon. Will make santorin shine.
2) A good digital camera (CoolPix 950 in my case), or slide / negative scanner (I use PhotoCD). I find it very disappointing when I see scanned prints, regardless what the used scanner was.
3) Clean car :-)
4) Never, ever shoot "into the sun". Always have the light at your back or up to a 90 degree angle.
The pics in the Golden Gate Park were taken just before sunset, which gives a nice look, but you can't tell apart Santorin from Europa.
If you want more info, email me.
- Stan
|
