Hi. Finals week is finally over and I got a chance to snap a few pictures of my recently reupholstered 99.5 1.8TQMS. Classic Soft Trim did the work, and as I said before, the leather for my front armrest was missing and they have ordered it and will install it when it comes in. As you can tell from the cloth armrest, the leather color I chose is a close match to the factory opal gray cloth color of the sport seats.

Oh yes, did I mention this is MUCH better than cloth?

Ok, you can see more of what a whole seat looks like in this pic. They also redid the door panels, and you can barely see, on the edge of the front seat, where there is a little CST "side airbags" emblem. Yes, at first I thought, "Geez, isn't that airbag logo on the wrong side of the front seat?" But then I saw that the air bag emblem is on both sides of each seat because they use the same leather cover for either the passenger or the driver's seat.

This pic has nothing to do with my car being reupholstered. It is just a gratuitous picture of my car at dusk with Pikes Peak in the background (near my parent's house). Let me just say that I've had my car for a little over a month and a half now, and with the exception of my remote fob mysteriously dying, I have nothing to complain about. Even though it is not fast (right now), the car is a hoot to drive. If you have any questions about me reupholstering my car, I posted a more in depth message on it a few weeks ago and you should be able to find it in the archives. Otherwise, feel free to e-mail me any questions.

Looks like he's northeast of Colorado Springs (near the Black Forest?). I've always wanted to snap some pix of my car along CO83 with Pikes Peak in the background.
CraigB

I don't like the fact that the '99s have everything grey including the wheel and shifter. It looks like somebody took a spray gun and painted everything in the interior that color.

Upon seeing it in that pic, I thought it would look nice in the onyx interior... I am not a big chrome fan, but the little things... like the chrome(silver) ring between the shift knob and boot looks nice - again, in onyx int.
Maybe I can retrofit it in my 98...
Thanks...
Cris
. . .fit of the leather on the seat faces, looks much warmer, cozier to the eye. Congrats.

I really didn't mean to criticize the owner or the new feature of the car. I understand and take the winer comment to heart. I appologize.
Rich
My seats (opal gray cloth no sports) are still looking new and just wondering whether I should wait for some more time or do it now.
How is the quality? I was not impressed by Acura TL's leather. I hope this stuff doesn't look that cheaper.
Thanks in advance for any info.
Pips 98 a41.8t

How bout doing an S4 type of motif inside with two-tone leather! Such as black and vibrant blue, or black and silver! Saw it in an E55 AMG, looks great! Also, a two tone leather wrapped steering wheel would be awesome!
-Looking to do this to my leatherette in my 97. Still pricing it out, see if it's feasible.
