I can't get the pressure above 10psi (Wett 1.0) and I hear a loud hissing sound coming from the front of the car at pressures above 5 psi. I have felt all of the hoses and just can't seem to find the leak.
Anyone know the most likely place the system will break first so I know where to start disassembling?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Mike O.
98.5 1.8TQMS, Wett 1.0, Stebro, Mintex, etc,etc,etc
Most likely the one right off the intake side of the turbo that heads into the intercooler cross over pipe.

Had a blown intake hose on my wett-chipped 1.8T replaced by the dealer last week. I don't know which hose it was, unfortunately (service guy only knew that it was an intake hose). I can give you the part numbers, though, if that will help. Email me.
Greg

I think the S4 is an awesome automobile.
My wife owns a 99 A4 2.8Qtip and it's the most solid auto we've owned. Plus it's fun to drive.
My wife used to have an aversion to driving but with the A4 she's out driving all the time.
I wanted an S4 but the dealer ticked me off with their misinformation and Audi ticked me off with the bland styling on the S4.
I ended up getting a 99 MCoupe, it's fast, tremendous fun to drive, a real looker but cramped and the build quality is not up to the Audi's Standards. It will definitely eat Boxsters for lunch.
