In my short term as an owner of an A4, I have come to the simple conclusion that Audi of America is just a poorly run company. It seems to me
that they care little about the "enthusiast" driver that this car is built for, and cater more to all the soccer moms that can't tell an accelerator from a
brake pedal.
I can understand that A of A must be careful because of their past problems, but their lack of options and support that they give to Audi owners is
remarkable. Compared to BMW of America, this company seems to be almost comatose. BMW offers its customers a full range of accessory
items, everything from key rings, to body mods (not to mentions tons of OEM wheel options). In addition, BMW allows its customers to upgrade
their automobiles from certified Dinan shops.
Now, the lack of ALL of these services would not upset me so much if Audi of America did not have any of these resources available to them.
However, with the availability of a full line Quattro GmbH accessories to European owners, and a very close relationship with MTM, I find it
inexcusable that Audi has chosen to ignore the "enthusiast".
Granted, A of A offers us a very nice selection of coffee books and videos, but if they really want to keep me as a repeat buyer they must step up
their service and support after purchase.
Anybody feel like filing an electronic petition to A of A?
-Stu Koch
99 2.8qts
after you go to the AOA web page, check out the the botique and come back and tell us what's missing. All of the boutique stuff, including the $3100 mountain bike, which is better than BMW's can be ordered by your parts dept.
FWIW you can also find all of the VOTEK accessories at some larger dealers in the US.

Whats Missing from Audi of America?? How about anything useful. Better yet, how about anything for my CAR, not my body! These are Lifestyle Accesories, NOT automobile accesories.
If anybody is confused about my plea for better aftermarket support from Audi of America check out the link below, than compare that to the "Audi Botique"
-Stu Koch
99 2.8qts

BMW Automotive Accessories

I recently e-mailed Audi of America because a local dealer says that the 99.5s cannot be ordered yet, however comments on the forum are to the contrary. I requested they contact me by phone because I was not satisfied with the last email message from them. They never called but emailed a message saying the future availability of this product has not been confirmed. I'm getting the run around. Maybe I should just get the BMW.
VW/Autobahn has a few things for Passats, etc, by I have a hard time figuring out how thy'll be on my A4. Plus, that stuff generally has "VW" emblazened on it. But from my Audi dealer . . . hats and cups. Nothing I really need. I think I'll go over to the local BMW dealer to see their "easy on/easy off" seat covers for my A4. Do you think they say "BMW"?
