Does anyone have info on how to obtain a
European OEM front license plate braket from
Audi? Does one even exist?
I have a custom European front plate now and want
to mount it to the car with something better
than the plastic frame that came with it.
The new plate is a decent solution to covering up the shotgun
shell holes from the dealer installed front plate.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
MC

This was discussed some two archives ago...
Ok, even tho euro plates all look the same, they are actually of *sligtly* different sizes (plus the Swiss one, which is completely different of course).
All Euro A4s come with a different bumper than the US model, which has a groove for the front plate. Then the dealer installs a domestic front plate holder for the particular nation. The plates don't have any holes in them, btw, it's quite a spiffy mount.
Thus, there is no such thing as an Euro mount - it is part of the bumper, the "holder" is actually just a frame around the plate.
Stan
The Swiss guy

If you mean the long, narrow euro plates, Bavarian Autosport sells them. www.bavauto.com
Of course it may not fit the A4, but I would think the screw holes should be in the same place.
/bb (visiting from the BMW board)

Well, as a Swede with an A4 I can asure you that there is a bracket. Although many people throw them away and mount the plate directly to the bumper. This is as the bracket make the plate stick out some mm's. Not much, but you get a cleaner look without it.
/ Ulrik
