But can't find a recent post that found a power source other than the fuse box to hard wire the v1 to. Anyone remember where it was? I have an Avant and dont want to piggyback the fuse.

I've got an Avant as well, and I piggy-backed it using an adapter called an add-a-fuse. Haven't had a problem in almost a year of use.<p>I think someone identified a possible source at the rear wiring harness for the CD changer (believe located behind left rear wheel). Might do a search on "CD" or "changer".

Getting the cover off is a real bitch, but it can be done... I felt like I was going to break my cover but it came off with gentle force. Not too hard after it's all opened.<p>Email me if you'd like photos and my instructions.
