The space ship has landed...

Despite the fact that Xenon lamps do a beautiful job in illuminating the road, I had an "enconter of my own kind" with Xenon Headlights. It was on a BMW 740 and it almost blinded me. They are so bright. Those lights aren't that great to other motorists.<p>Just my two cents.<p>Quattro80

I agree. The problem with the Xenon's to other drivers is that the difference in the light color draws attention to them, causing passing mororists to look directly into the beam. This is the same thing that happened when Halogens first appeared.... Motorists were complaining of being blinded. I have yet to be blinded by the Xenon's, but when one equipped with Xenon's is beside me on the four-lane, I sure can see the road much better.<p>G. Hale<br>'98.5 2.8 QMS<br>Xenon's on Monday

Are these on high beam or low beam. The entire headlamp seems to be filled with light. It doesn't appear to be a projector beam.
